17 new music releases worth checking out today
Here are some of this week's new music and video releases worthy of your attention.
Good morning!
Let’s get to the new releases.
This week, the music scene sees some fresh releases worthy of a listen. From emerging artists to mainstay icons, let’s dive into the latest tracks making waves in the world of alternative music (with maybe some other genres sprinkled in), and maybe you’ll end up finding a few of your next favorite tunes. So in no particular order, let's get right into it.
blink-182 - “Can’t Go Back“
Although the song isn’t officially released, the band did play this brand new tune live at the Kia Center in Florida this past weekend. It’s definitely go self-titled blink / Angels and Airwaves vibes for sure.
The Story So Far - “Watch You Go”
This is the latest single from the band’s recently released album I Want To Disappear which is the first album in four years for TSSF. We recently reviewed this album. Check it out here.
In Her Own Words - “Beg for More”
It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from In Her Own Words, but this is a great “comeback” song.
Four Year Strong – “aftermath/afterthought”
The Dangerous Summer - “Where Did All The Time Go?”
This is the latest single from The Dangerous Summer’s JUST released album Gravity. Spoiler: this album does not disappoint. If you listen to our podcast, then you’ll already know that we have been bullish on this one potentially being our pick for Album of the Year. I’d love to hear what you think of this album below.
Fever 333 – “New West Order”
The Japanese House – “:)”
I don’t understand naming songs as emojis, but whatever. Is it called “Happier”? “Smile”? “Happy”? Who knows. It’s a good song either way.
Hot Mulligan - “End Eric Sparrow And The Life Of Him“
Something Corporate - “Death Grip”
This is the band’s first bit of new music in 20 years. The song is going down as a co-release between Something Corporate and singer Andrew McMahon’s solo band Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. The band is heading out on tour. You can see the dates here.
Less Than Jake – “Broken Words”
Super American – “Ugly Crying With My Dog”
Stand Atlantic x Polaris - “CRIMINAL”
YUNGBLUD - breakdown.
Post Malone + Blake Shelton - “Pour Me a Drink”
Movements - “Afraid To Die”
Action/Adventure – “Big Al Dente”
PVRIS – “The Blob”
That’ll do it for this week! Happy listening.
Let me know in the comments what your favorite release of the week is. I would love to hear your thoughts.
Ooh, "Afraid To Die” by Movements is great! I'm not ashamed to admit that I basically never hear new music unless you post about it.
