2019 Is Proving To Be The Year Of Mark Hoppus
Mark Hoppus is one of the most influential musicians in the pop punk scene, no doubt. Since the late 1990's to early 2000's, his work with blink-182 has inspired and changed pop punk. However, in this new age, Hoppus is still kicking it and releasing new music without diversions.
At 46 years old, Mark Hoppus is still putting out new music and fulfilling his career. Even after becoming one of the most iconic musicians in regards to pop punk-selling out arenas and recording multiple platinum albums-the man just can't find a way to slam the breaks, which he has no need to. His main band, blink-182 is recording their eighth studio album this year, which is going to be their successor to 2016's California. But, with his new band Simple Creatures, which features All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth, he's proving he can do just about anything he wants.
There's no saying how many songs will be on the debut EP for Simple Creatures, but one thing is certain- they are dope as hell. With the release of their new song, "Drug", we can tell they're going to be topping charts, especially with renowned affliction from both All Time Low and blink-182 fans alike.
Hoppus has been putting in a work-load, and 2019 has a lot in store for him. From his new album with blink and Simple Creatures, to the mysterious claimed 2019 tour with blink via Iheart Radio, we're having no shortage of quality content by Hoppus himself.
To have a musician like Hoppus, who has done it all and seen it all, still prove that he has a love for the art of music and appreciation of his fans (good and bad), is beyond exciting to see. He can easily sit back and relax, but that would be too easy for a quality artist like himself.
2019 is the year of Mark Hoppus and his contributions to the music world and we should be more than grateful to be witnessing this spectacle in 2019. Even if you're not a fan, it's impressive to see him still kicking it.
