Blink-182's Matt Skiba fends off homophobic slur in most fantastic way possible
Blink-182's Matt Skiba's not only talented at guitar, but he's also talented in the art of fending off internet trolls.
As big influences in the rock community, many rockstars can get hateful comments on their social media accounts. Some turn the other cheek and ignore it, but others take a stand and take the opportunity to make someone look foolish.
In Skiba's case, he totally owned an Instagram troll who commented "ur gay".
Skiba maturely and fantastically responded with:
“Thanks for taking time out of what must be a very busy schedule for little old me,” Skiba wrote. “Is being gay a bad thing? I don’t understand, but again, thank you. I’m sure you’re a very happy and kind/compassionate person,” he added. “Smart too. Probably immensely satisfied and successful in your life. I’m sure your parents didn’t mean it when they told you that you were an accident.”

A perfect response for an imperfect comment.
Well done, Mr. Skiba.
