It's not a secret I am a massive fan of Bury the Darkness and their musical talents. They never cease to amaze me with each single they release. Unlike their latest single, "Obey," "Paralyzed" is not as heavy sounding, and I am all for the change of pace with this single.
"Paralyzed" talks about what it's like to struggle with anxiety. Anyone who has experienced anxiety throughout life can easily relate to this song. It would be a lie if I didn't admit to tearing up listening to this song. The band made this song easy to relate to and spoke the words I have been unable to talk about my anxiety/struggles. I mean, I can't be the only one, right?!
My favorite line from the song and that I related to was:
"I can't breathe, Stuck inside a bad dream Cycles never-ending Begging for more From this life."
"Paralyzed" reminds fans that you aren't alone in your struggles and aren't the only one who goes through/suffers from anxiety or other mental health struggles. There will always be someone there to help support you along the way. Ultimately, it's okay to not be okay, and you have the support. We are all on this journey of life together!
