In a press release, frontman Shaant Hacikyan expressed his excitement for the tour after the band took an unannounced hiatus following their appearance at the 2017 edition of Slam Dunk Festival:
“By the time we start this run, it will have been 18 months since Cute performed live. I’m just excited to get back out there and put on a great show for the fans. We’re hoping to play all the classics and give everyone a little taste of some of the new stuff we’ve been working on.”
The band will be supported on tour by Makeout, Minshara and Brightside. Hackiyan shared his excitement for touring the supporting acts:
“We have a great lineup for this tour and we’re purposely doing smaller, intimate rooms so the energy should be awesome! I’ve always loved touring with the next generation of bands coming up. Makeout seem to be the new kids on the block and I’m glad we’ll get a chance to make some memories and share the stage with them.”
Makeout frontman Sam Boxold also shared the same excitement for the upcoming tour:
“We’re especially stoked to watch Cute Is What We Aim For every night. It’s literally mind-blowing getting to hit the road and share the stage with people I looked up to when I was getting my start in music.”
