happydaze drops music video for new song "Piece Of Me"
Edinburgh, Scotland-based rockers, happydaze, have unveiled their new single, "Piece Of Me". Serving as a follow-up to their previous hit, "Been and Gone," this track acts as a complementary addition to happydaze's most recent EP, Full Free Radical.
"Piece Of Me" encapsulates a soothing melody coupled with a rock-infused punch, showcasing the band's exceptional talent for crafting captivating and addictive soundscapes. The song's visual elements harmonize seamlessly with the overall brisk and vibrant vibe of "Piece Of Me."
Speaking about the new song, lead vocalist Luke Bovill shares, "'Piece of Me' started as a demo in 2020 right at the beginning of the lockdown. I wrote the first verse and chorus over a Zoom call with Pete, armed with just an acoustic guitar and a beat loop. We went back and forth in the logic session with Sam from Neck Deep for a few weeks until it evolved into one of our favorite tracks. Originally, we intended this song to be part of our last two records, but we couldn't quite achieve the production quality we desired. We returned to Treehouse with Jim, who stripped everything back and transformed the song into what it is today. Some of my favorite lyrics and guitar parts are in this song, and I'm thrilled to finally release it."
