Kill The Ideal Release "Immigrant Song" video
Rising UK rockers Kill The Ideal have just released a hilariously outstanding music video for their cover of Led Zeppelin's infamous track "Immigrant Song". The track is taken from their highly anticipated upcoming EP Against The World, which will be released on 5th February 2021.
"We chose to cover 'Immigrant Song' in tribute to our heroes' Led Zeppelin on the 50th anniversary of the original release", explains bassist Luke Farmer. ”We hope hearing our version will evoke memories that transport the listener back in time or perhaps there’s a chance someone may not of heard the song and will open themselves up to a whole other world of music."
The video follows a Viking warrior washed up on the shores of a modern-day England, searching for meaning in a world that's totally strange to him. He's quickly discovered by a young rocker, who introduces him to the most important developments the world has to offer in 2020 Laser tag, bowling, and heavy guitar.
"The song is about Viking hoards invading pastures new. That to us couldn't be more powerful, as a virus has had the world on its knees for too long now. We are all going to unite ourselves together and take back what is ours! We would like to thank Led Zeppelin for giving us the ingredients which have made us the band we are today", explains frontman Ashley Wilson.
This is the brand new single taken from their upcoming EP Against The World following recently released singles "Let's Get Excited", "Scream For Me" and "TEN", all of which have picked up over 120,000 streams on Spotify.
The seven track EP is a powerfully astonishing Alt-rock record both beautifully brutal and honest all at the same time. Recorded in Reading, England with producer Simon Jackman it features soaring vocals, insane guitar solos, infectiously emotive choruses and a thunderous rhythm section that gives the band a momentous yet authentic sound.
The band recently teamed up with Public City PR (National TV and Radio) and have two sold out release shows planned for when safe to do so. They are also lined up to play Ibiza HRH festival in May alongside Skindred and Reef.
