Fans hoping for an Oasis reunion to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their landmark debut album, Definitely Maybe, might be disappointed. In a recent interview, Liam Gallagher revealed his brother Noel declined a "big offer" for a tour, seemingly shutting down the possibility for now.
"I did call him! Well, my people called Noel's management," Liam told MOJO magazine. "We put an offer on the table for an Oasis thing – because we got offered it – and he said no. It was a big tour, a lot of money. He turned it down."
This news comes after years of speculation and the brothers' infamous public feuds. Despite the offer, Noel's ongoing divorce proceedings seem to have taken priority.
Liam, however, plans to celebrate the anniversary with a solo tour performing Definitely Maybe in its entirety. He also hinted at a potential reunion for the band's equally successful follow-up album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? in 2025, stating, "It's down to the universe."
While the immediate reunion seems unlikely, Liam's solo tour and the possibility of a future Morning Glory? celebration offers a somewhat glimmer of hope for fans. However, Noel Gallagher's silence on the matter leaves the future of Oasis uncertain.
