Mark Hoppus reportedly created the bass intro to "Carousel" by mistake
Blink-182 have created a lot of masterpieces in their 25 year tenure as a band. With seven studio albums and multiple songs that are considered, "generational", it's always interesting to hear how their songs were conducted. However, would you have thought that Mark Hoppus's song "Carousel" from the band's debut album Cheshire Cat in 1995 all started out by mistake? It's true! Hoppus recently admitted on Twitter to a fan when he was asked how he came up with the bass solo in the song. Hoppus responded accordingly:
I was trying to learn Fur Elise and made a mistake and liked the way it sounded.

It seems as if a masterpiece was created by an error from another masterpiece. How clever! Follow me on Twitter: @Johnaubert97
