Fun Fact: On this day in music history in 2001, "Lady Marmalade," performed by Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya, and Pink, soared to the top of the UK pop chart. This record-breaking track, originally a hit in 1974 by Labelle, had previously reached No.1 three years earlier when All Saints released their version. However, the 2001 all-star collaboration, which was created for the film Moulin Rouge!, proved to be the most successful rendition. In the US, it dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks and eventually won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.
