Asking Alexandria’s ‘Psycho’ Hits No.1 On US Radio Chart. According to Billboard, "Psycho," from their latest album "Where Do We Go From Here?," has claimed the top spot on the charts. The track has also surged to No. 8 on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, amassing 2.5 million audience impressions, representing a 19% increase compared to the week of September 22-28. It's worth noting that AA had previously achieved a No. 1 ranking on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with "Alone Again" in 2021.
Foo Fighters Announce 2024 U.S. Stadium Tour Dates.
Madden Brothers Expand Veeps Into All Access Streaming Video Platform. Benji and Joel Madden, known for their roles in Good Charlotte, MDDN music management, and Veeps streaming service, are launching Veeps All Access, a Live Nation-backed online video subscription service. Unlike the previous pay-per-view model, All Access offers fans access to all live shows and on-demand content, original programming, and artist exclusives for $11.99 per month or $120 annually. The service will be available on the Veeps app and has partnerships with Samsung, Ticketmaster, and Verizon. The new service aims to connect fans with their favorite artists, even if they can't attend concerts, and will include archived content from various artists.
Måneskin, Fall Out Boy, Paramore & Yungblud Nominated For MTV Europe Music Awards. The MTV EMAs nominations include Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Yungblud in the Best Alternative category, alongside 30 Seconds To Mars, Blur, and Lana Del Rey. In the Best Rock category, Måneskin, previous winners, will compete against Metallica, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, and Arctic Monkeys. Måneskin is also nominated in the Best Group and Best Live categories. Fans can vote for their favorites at http://mtvema.com/vote, with the awards ceremony scheduled for November 05.

At Least 260 People Dead After Attack At Israeli Electronic Music Festival. At least 260 people have lost their lives in a tragic incident during an outdoor electronic music festival in Israel near the Gaza Strip. Hamas operatives carried out an attack at the Universo Paralello Festival in Re'im, Israel, which also resulted in an unknown number of attendees being abducted. The festival took place from October 6-7 and is known for its focus on psytrance, a high-BPM form of trance music popular in Israel. The attack began with rocket strikes at 6:30 a.m., followed by an assault by Hamas operatives around 30 minutes later. Intense fighting has been ongoing in Israel since the attack, with rockets fired by Hamas and an ensuing invasion. The festival organizers have expressed their shock and pain and are assisting in locating missing individuals, coordinating with security forces and the IDF.
Spotify reportedly launching new “Supremium” tier with more features. Spotify is reportedly planning to launch a new "Supremium" tier that will offer extra features for a higher price of $19.99 (£16.33) per month, twice the cost of the current premium subscription. The Supremium tier is expected to include lossless audio, a feature that Apple Music offers for free, as well as new statistics about listening habits, an audiobook feature, and AI playlist generation tools. The audiobook feature, allowing users to stream up to 15 hours of audiobooks per month, has already been introduced in the UK and Australia and will be available in the US by the end of the year. Spotify has been rolling out various new features and tools, including Showcase, which allows artists to pay for music promotion on the platform's homepage, and AI-powered features like an AI DJ and multilingual podcast listening with AI voices.

Vinyl sales up nearly 15 per cent in 2023. Vinyl sales have experienced a nearly 15% year-on-year increase for the first nine months of 2023, with 3,952,262 vinyl LPs sold, marking a 13.2% rise compared to 2022, according to the BPI. The Q3 period alone witnessed a more substantial growth, with 1,237,620 vinyl records sold, representing a 15.1% increase compared to the previous year. This surge in vinyl sales continues to reflect the enduring popularity of physical records among music enthusiasts.
