News you may have missed! (12/9/19)
We've given our logo a refresh, we have a YouTube channel now and news from around the scene!
Hey, everyone?! We’re back for another edition of our weekly mailer. Thanks for clicking! We took a week off from the mailer last week mainly because I sent out some promotional emails instead. Plus, there just wasn’t much news around the web. Usually this time of year is slow for news around the scene.
Before we get started with usual stuff, I’d like to thank everyone who bought something from the store this past week! Our Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales started off slow, but gained traction towards the last day. So thank you thank you thank you!
We mentioned this in the previous mailer, but it’s worth mentioning again. We have officially launched our very own YouTube channel. You can subscribe here. And I really hope you will! Me and the team would GREATLY appreciate it. Our plan here is to start off small with band interviews and on-site gig/festival things. Once we get used to everything, we’ll expand our content and do some really cool and fun stuff! We’re all super excited about this.
Finally, we’ve given the All Punked Up logo a little refresh! I liked the look of the old logo, but I feel like it caused confusion. The old logo had “All Punked Up” in lowercase letters and compressed into one word. I feel like some people didn’t know how to type/spell “All Punked Up”. Should it be all one word or three? To answer that question, we updated the logo to display as three words instead; making it clear now.
With that said, the old logo should be gone from everything now—even our merch. You may also notice on the News site, we’ll have the All Punked Up symbol to the left of the APU name, and on the Shop we’ll have the symbol off to the right of the APU name. This is by design. I like the symbol off to the right, but I feel like it looked weird on the News site that way.
