Why Scott Stapp Takes Blame for Factors That Led to Creed Split: In a recent interview, the Creed frontman reflected on the band's split in 2004 and took the blame for it. Stapp mentions that there were several reasons for the split, including frustration and anger from the backlash the band received and the lifestyle that came with their fame. However, after several years of tension, the band reunited for a tour and album in 2009. Guitarist Mark Tremonti recently said he believes another reunion will happen at some point in the future.
