For fuck’s sake, stop it with the ticket fees! + Venues should stop being assholes + Another artist crossing over into pop-punk?
Happy Sunday! Some great new music greets us this week, along with Fall Out Boy’s tickets going on sale for their upcoming tour. I wonder how Ticketmaster did on that one? Speaking of Ticketmaster, this week also brings us news of the US trying to pass legislation to greatly reduce ticket fees. There’s a whole lot more than just this though. Let’s get to it!
OUT MONDAY: For fuck’s sake, stop it with the ticket fees! + Venues should stop being assholes + Another artist crossing over into pop-punk?
In this episode, Tyler and John have a new study to share that confirms how to always get the number of the person you’re lusting after (so get ready and bring your notepad and pen to take notes). They also discuss the new movement for venues to stop taking cuts of artists’ merch sales. And the US is pushing for the ticketing industry to get their shit together and stop charging us all for these nonsensical fees. But we also have some Spotify news, some news about the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees, and there's a popular artist they may be crossing over into punk; we're all for it.
