News you may have missed! (4/17/20)
An All Punked Up Podcast coming soon? No concerts until Fall 2021? New music from The Used and Angels & Airwaves and so much more!

We reached the end of another week, so here we are with another mailer. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe and healthy… and sane. I know this time is hard for a lot of us and really hope you all are doing ok. Hang in there.
All Punked Up did something really cool yesterday. We had our first team meeting over Zoom. I can’t believe over the last 4 years, we haven’t done something like this. For me, it was really really awesome. Being able to hear my team members’ voices and see them live was just a great thing. We discussed ways in which we can make APU better, what we want to see more out of the site and how to be more engaging on social media. It was definitely a meeting that needed had and a ton of good stuff came out of it.
One of the best things we discussed was the upcoming All Punked Up Podcast. More on that below…
Let’s get to the news.
News you may have missed…
As mentioned last week (and the past 4 weeks), during this time, let’s make sure we are taking necessary precautions not only to keep ourselves safe, but others around us too. It’s being recommended that we not touch our face and that we wash our hands for at least 20 seconds. Above all, if you feel sick, stay home. Ok, to the news…
Speaking of The Used, Bert McCracken is teaming up with Five Star Extracts to produce exclusive cannabis line
Angels & Airwaves release new track “All That’s Left Is Love”
Yours Truly drops new single “Composure” with music video– listen
All Punked Up specific news…
As I mentioned above, APU had its first team meeting over Zoom yesterday. One of the topics we discussed was the All Punked Up Podcast. You may remember I mentioned this in a recent mailer (check that out here to get caught up).
With everything going on, I thought that this podcast launch would need to wait until the people I had in mind to help run this podcast could all get together in one room. That meant waiting until the stay-at-home orders were done and then some. It really seemed like we were going to have to wait until mid- to late-summer. Well, we figured out a way, an innovative way, to start this thing almost immediately. Sweet!
Since the group is all in agreeance on launching this thing, we are now officially in the planning stages. We plan on having video and audio versions of these podcasts. I haven’t been more excited about APU since the launch of our merch store.
I’ll update you all with more info on this when I have it. Can’t wait!

If All Punked Up made an album for this past week, these are the songs that would be included on it. These songs could be old or new, maybe even unrelated, but they all traveled through APU team members’ headphones this week.
“All That’s Left Is Love” — Angels & Airwaves
“Figure Eight” — Trophy Eyes
“How Big Is Your Brain” — Super American
“Say It in Reverse” — Mouth Culture
“Tomorrow’s Another Day” — MxPx
“Hot Girl Bummer” — Our Last Night

If you’re interested in listening to this “album”, we’ve got the playlist created over on Spotify here. Feel free to give it a listen. Maybe go ahead and just subscribe to the playlist while you’re at it. This same playlist will be updated weekly with new songs.
