Taylor Swift appears to defend fan from security guard during Philadelphia show. T-Swift defended a fan from a security guard during her Philadelphia show on Saturday. The incident occurred during her performance of "Bad Blood" when Swift paused mid-song to yell at the security guard. She said, "She's fine! She wasn't doing anything!" and "Hey, stop!" multiple times. It is unclear who Swift was specifically addressing, but fans believe she was defending a female fan who was being manhandled by the security guard. The fan who shared the video on Twitter said that the security guard was being "extremely aggressive" for no reason. They added that the fan was not throwing anything or screaming, and that she was simply trying to dance and sing with Swift. Swift's actions have been praised by fans, who commend her for standing up for her fans.
Rivers Cuomo Maybe Regrets That Weezer Released So Much Music. In an interview with Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea on the podcast This Little Light, Cuomo suggests that there may have been too much quantity among Weezer's releases and that a more strategic approach to selecting and releasing the best material could have made a greater impact. He acknowledges that hindsight is 20/20 but hopes that future generations will focus on the best work. Cuomo also indicates a new willingness to listen to and consider the reactions of fans, recognizing that their preferences may differ from his own. This introspection raises questions about the value and impact of the extensive body of work Weezer has produced over the years.

AI Voice Recreation Service Covers.ai Launches. Covers.ai, an AI-powered voice recreation tool developed by MAYK, has officially launched to the public. The platform allows users to upload their original songs and apply different AI-generated voices, including those of Billboard Hot 100-charting artists. Prior to its launch, Covers.ai garnered over 100,000 sign-ups. The available models are primarily "community models" created by users, but MAYK is also working on licensing specific celebrity voices to compensate them for official use. Additionally, the company aims to secure licensing agreements with rights holders to enable users to mix and match tracks with various artists' voices. Notable investors in MAYK include executives from FaZe Clan, BMG US, MUSIC, Napster, and Amazon Music. The launch of Covers.ai coincides with ongoing discussions about AI and vocal deepfakes, raising legal questions about the right of publicity. Despite potential legal concerns, MAYK aims to democratize creativity and provide a more interactive music discovery experience for the younger generation.

Marilyn Manson’s Lawsuit Against Evan Rachel Wood Mostly Dismissed By Judge. A judge in Los Angeles has dismissed a significant portion of Marilyn Manson's defamation lawsuit against his ex-fiancé, Evan Rachel Wood, citing California's anti-SLAPP statute, which aims to protect free speech. Manson had sued Wood, alleging that her accusations of sexual abuse against him were false and that she had encouraged other women to make similar claims to destroy his career. However, the judge ruled that Manson had not provided sufficient evidence to support many of his claims, including allegations of Wood pressuring multiple women and forging an FBI letter. While the case is not completely dismissed, this ruling is considered a major victory for Wood, as it affirms her exercise of First Amendment rights. The remaining claims will proceed to discovery and a potential trial.
Bamboozle sued by E-Town Concrete's Anthony Martini over unpaid loan. The Bamboozle music festival in New Jersey, scheduled to make a comeback after a hiatus since 2012, was abruptly canceled a week before its planned dates of May 5-7. Organizers failed to obtain permits from Atlantic City as they missed the deadline to submit necessary paperwork, leading to multiple issues and complaints. A lawsuit has now been filed against the festival and promoter John D'Esposito by Anthony Martini, the lead vocalist of E-Town Concrete, who also lent $500,000 to D'Esposito and the festival at a 20% interest rate. The court documents reveal that Martini wired substantial amounts to talent agencies and entertainment companies, with some funds sent directly to D'Esposito. Despite the loan, the festival was canceled, leaving Martini seeking the return of his money plus late fees and other costs, totaling $630,000. D'Esposito has not responded to requests for comment on the matter.
