Pop-punk NEEDS to invade Country Music. And we aren’t talking about a “Punk Goes…” album. This was our most recent podcast episode. And to add more fuel to my thoughts showing that this strategy will work, State Champs’ new song “Act Like That” has been out for a little over a week and already has 1.2 million views on YouTube. I’m positive that’s because the song is hitting a wider audience and branching out of the pop-punk crowd. It’s hitting the country music scene too. I think this shows that there's a spot for pop-punk in country music. Country music is very accepting of other genres dipping their toes in their own. And State Champs can pull off these hybrid/crossover-type songs that can play nice in both genres. I think the bands in our scene that can pull this off, should do this. It's great for the artist, labels, and the genre overall.
YUNGBLUD announces self-titled third album. The album is set to be released on September 2nd.

Only sharing because he’s one of the main guys in the scene, but Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian are officially married
Is Drive-Thru Records teasing something? There was an Instagram account that came up for me yesterday for drivethrurecords26. Looks like they are teasing something for the 26th anniversary. Also, going to the account's profile, there is a link to https://www.drive-thrurecords.com/ that requires a password to enter. That password is drivethru. You’re welcome.
Games We Play sign with Fueled by Ramen. This is cool as I just came across this artist a couple of weeks ago when I heard his song “I Hope You’re Happy” and was quite impressed.
Is Panic! at the Disco teasing? According to Reddit, it looks like people have been receiving things in the mail that lead to this URL with hints at a new release as early as June 1st.
The Academy Is… is now on Instagram and are coming back to play Riot Fest.
Remember the band Over It? Looks like they started an Instagram account too. Hopefully new music is on the way.
