AI Singers Are Unnervingly Good and Already Ubiquitous: The software that cloned Drake and the Weeknd is easy to use—and impossible to shut down. A British band named Breezer, who recorded eight songs that sounded similar to Oasis, struggled to get the desired success. Later, frontman Bobby Geraghty watched an AI software tutorial and used the software to replace his voice with an AI-generated version of Liam Gallagher's voice. The new versions were uploaded to YouTube under the name AISIS, and the album quickly went viral, amassing 300,000 streams in a week. This innovative idea has become popular and made music lovers wonder if it is possible for a guitar band to get noticed nowadays. Following the success of Breezer, more and more musicians are now using AI voice cloning technology to make music, covering well-known songs with AI-generated voices, including Kanye West, Michael Jackson, and Ariana Grande, among others. Interested in doing it yourself? The software used to make these AI-generated voices is called SoftVC VITS Singing Voice Conversion or So-Vits-SVC and can run on any computer with a decent GPU. If you just want to create a simple cover song, there are now websites that automate most of the process.

Machine Gun Kelly Seemingly Disses Jack Harlow in New ‘Renegade Freestyle’ Rap. Just stop already, MGK… Machine Gun Kelly released a new freestyle rap called "Renegade Freestyle" on May 6, where he appears to diss fellow rapper Jack Harlow. Kelly raps that Harlow jacked another rapper's whole swag and should give Drake his flow back. He also boasts about his ability to "eat rappers like Pac Man" and suggests he could show Harlow who's in his stomach from the last dance. Harlow recently released his third album, Jackman, and claimed in one of his tracks that he's the hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters. And of course, Kelly took offense to it and made a rap of his own.

Live Nation Shares Soar Following Record First Quarter Earnings Report. Live Nation's first-quarter earnings report showed the concert promoter beating expectations and generating $3.1 billion in revenue, marking another record quarter. Live Nation shares rose by 15% following the report, with shares opening 13.1% higher than the previous day's closing price. Despite the record earnings, Live Nation's share price had been struggling due to macroeconomic conditions, fears of a recession, and concerns over regulatory pressure and long-term artist headliner availability. Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino expressed confidence in the availability of talent, noting that six of the top 10 artists were younger artists, and there was a host of great new talent every year coming up. He also stated that the growth of TikTok meant more and more artists were emerging, wanting to be the next big name. I wonder what happened to help them reach these new revenue records…
American Football bought The American Football House. American Football, along with their label Polyvinyl Records, Atiba Jefferson, Chris Strong, and Open House Contemporary, have purchased the American Football House at 704 W High Street in Urbana, Illinois to preserve its place and legacy in the community. The house, built in 1893, has become a historical monument to the band and has hosted house parties, punk shows, and was even the venue for one of the first virtual concerts in Minecraft during COVID. The purchase was made to protect the house from developers who were planning to demolish it and build a condo. The American Football House has become a landmark and a "place of worship" for fans, with its quaint facade and iconic midwest imagery featuring in American Football's LP2 cover and "Never Meant" official music video.
