Alt Press appeared to drop the ball on sexual assault allegations against Austin Carlile, All Punked Up Podcast #002 dropping soon
What’s up, everyone! I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. There just seems to be so much going on in the world today. A lot of good things like the protests, and a lot of bad things like the virus. As a lot of states are opening up, I urge everyone to still use precautions. Do things necessary to protect yourself and everyone else.
Weekly Recap
If you follow our Weekly Recap series on YouTube, you may have noticed that we didn’t drop an episode this week. We decided to take this week off due to all the happenings going on throughout the U.S. and around the world surrounding social injustices against black Americans. We will be back next week!
The All Punked Up Podcast
Speaking of the social injustices and protests taking place all over our nation because of them, we dedicated our second episode to having a discussion with our writer Ian Thompson, a black American, about the Black Lives Matter movement, the murder of George Floyd, and how we all can help make a difference going forward in fighting for the basic human rights our black brothers and sisters have been fighting for for hundreds of years. Be sure to be on the lookout for that to drop on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube next week!
We will be recording Episode #003 on Sunday. It will be an all-female ran show as the team will be discussing sexual assault and it’s prevalence in the scene we cover. If you happen to have thoughts or ideas on this topic, please reach out to Ally on Twitter as she’ll be the host this week.
