News you may have missed! (6/3/19)
blink-182 rehearsing iconic album, Riot Fest lineup announced and All Time Low debut a new song!
Happy Monday! We enjoyed a shortened work week after the Memorial Day weekend and we hope you did too.
Let’s get straight to it.
News you may have missed…
Slam Dunk Festival hit Leeds this past weekend so we went ahead and picked out and listed our favorite highlights from the music festival.
Riot Fest announced their 2019 lineup! Oh and blink-182 is headlining it.
Speaking of blink, the band started rehearsing the ‘Enema of the State’ album for their upcoming tour. All the more reason to get your tickets now.
Additionally, the upcoming blink-182 album will not be released before Warped Tour now.
All Time Low debuted a new song live. The song is “Getaway Green” and is super catchy. Make sure to check this one out when you have chance.
Mayday Parade released a new music video for “Looks Red, Tastes Blue”.
Mark Hoppus and Alex Gaskarth’s new band, Simple Creatures, are set to release a new song and have begun teasing.
Looks like we can say goodbye to iTunes as Apple has announced that it is shutting it down.
Finally, in a new interview, Mark Hoppus discussed the rumors about a blink-182 reunion with Tom DeLonge and touched on the band’s upcoming album’s release date.
Not a whole lot of fun news this week, but it is what it is.
All Punked Up specific news…
I mentioned a couple newsletters ago that the site had been experiencing performance issues where the site would go down from anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hours at a time. This was due to a server move that the new host could not seem to rectify for me over the two months we were with them. Because of the issues, I decided to move the site yet again. The site is now on a new host and I’m hoping those site issues are behind us now.
As long as the site performs well, I’ll be able to concentrate more on the brand of APU and taking the next step I keep referring to. I’ll stop being so vague soon ;)
I eventually want to make more of this weekly newsletter/email list. I want to start doing giveaways, adding in sponsored spots for bands, recommended playlists, etc. If you have any ideas, shoot us an email to info@allpunkedup.com.
Random thoughts…
I’d like to take a minute to appreciate the above album. blink-182’s album Enema Of The State turned 20 years-old on June 1st. I for one can’t believe it’s already been 20 years since this iconic album’s release. I can remember where I was when I first saw the “What’s My Age Again?” video and how this album as a whole threw me into my obsession with pop punk and its scene. There are nothing but awesome memories for me when I reflect and look back on this album.
Here’s our appreciation post about the album.
Thank you!
