News you may have missed! (8/7/20)
New music from blink-182, Stand Atlantic. New report shows just how bad the touring world was hit by pandemic, and much more!
What’s up, everyone?! Hope you are all doing well. It’s another Friday which means another mailer for your inbox.
Last week, I mentioned how running All Punked Up isn’t cheap to do. I also mentioned that if we have ever brought you any value, that you please consider purchasing something from our merch store if, of course, you see something you like. Some of you may have went to do just that between these last mailers and weren’t able to do so. Well, after one year since it’s launch, I have decided to close the store—at least temporarily.
I’d like to first thank EVERYONE who purchased something. You have no idea what that means to me. Secondly, the reason for me dropping the store, at least temporarily, is strictly due to costs. Although the store brought in some revenue, it wasn’t enough for me to justify keeping it open. And with the expenses it took to keep it going, it just made sense to close it down for awhile. So again, thanks so much to everyone who purchased something from the store, and to the people who sported and rocked the items on social media—you guys are amazing!
In other news, All Punked Up wants to be more involved in helping and promoting bands. We’ve been doing Instagram Lives lately with under the radar and unsigned bands and artists. We want to continue doing this. Additionally, we’ve updated our Sponsorhip packages. Instead of having a bunch of packages to choose from, we’ve went ahead and dropped it down to one package while drastically dropping the price. We want this effort to be affordable for any bands and brands that don’t have a ton to spend. Anyways, if you’re needing to reach the audience we serve, I highly encourage you to check out our Sponsorship page to see exactly what we offer and how we can help.
So with that said, lets get to the news, shall we?
Podcast News
Ally, Natalie and I recorded Episode #004 late last night. All that’s left is the editing process to have it ready for Monday morning! This episode felt really good with the news we discussed. The conversations felt solid. I will say, without giving too much about it just yet, we had the privilege of interviewing Big Picture Media’s Natalie Schaefer and Becky Kovach which will be included in the next episode. For those of you who don’t know, Big Picture Media works tirelessly behind-the-scenes with some of the biggest names in the scene to help them succeed. We talk to them about just that, what it’s like normally and what’s it like during a pandemic, and how we can help some of our favorite bands during this time.
