News you may have missed! (9/4/21)
Welcome to the weekend! Let’s go ahead and to the things for this week!
Will Halsey’s new rock album be the push pop punk and rock need to be mainstream once again?
This week, Bailey and Tyler discuss a whole bunch of stuff. Tyler once wrote an OP-ED in 2019 that he saw pop punk and rock making a comeback. He later predicted that it would need to be women to bring the genres back to the forefront. One of those women he recommended at that time was Halsey to be that push if she would just release a rock album. Now, Halsey’s rock album is here. Tyler and Bailey share their thoughts if this album is the one to do the job.
Additionally, the crew discusses Nelly going country, Foo Fighters making history, Spotify’s most streamed songs of the summer, and then share their thoughts on Paramore receiving writing credits on Olivia Rodrigo’s smash hit “good 4 u”.
They also make sure to talk about the new music released this week from State Champs, With Confidence, Grayscale, The Summer Set and Fame on Fire.
