Photo Series: New Found Glory Make The Most Of It Acoustic Tour in Chicago

New Found Glory have just concluded their run of the Make The Most Of It Acoustic Tour, and I was lucky enough to catch a date in Chicago, IL. This tour ran all across the country, and was a particularly unique tour due to the acoustic nature and the hand picked venues that fit a run like this perfectly. Here in Chicago, Thalia HallĀ hosted, and I could not have thought of a better venue to experience this show at.
I think there is a stigma around unplugged shows not being as fun as a typical gig in the pop-punk scene. Some may think you won't receive that high energy, mosh pits will be lacking, and the vibes just generally won't be the same. As an attendee and someone who was able to photograph a show on this run, I am here to disagree. This New Found Glory show was equally if not more fun and entertaining as the other times I have seen them. So many smiling faces, singing along, interaction between the band and the crowd, and just an overall enjoyable time. After the experience, it almost has me itching for other bands to give acoustic sets a try.
I hope the photo series below captured some of these outstanding moments from the show, and gives you an idea of what a great time it was. If any special tours like this come through, I encourage everyone to have an open mind and attend, even if you think it might feel different. Different isn't always a bad thing!
