Picturesque Reveals Darker Side in New Single “Crimes”—watch

Rock band Picturesque is revealing its darker side with a haunting new single. The genre-blending “Crimes” premiered on Alternative Press.

On the new single, vocalist Kyle Hollis shares: “’Crimes’ is our way of getting weird on this record and showing our listeners a new side of us they haven’t heard. We wanted to think outside the box and I feel like we created something exciting and fresh.”

The band returns to the stage this month for a brief headline tour with Makari. The five date run includes stops in North Carolina, New York, and Richmond. Tickets are on-sale now and available at www.picturesqueband.com.

Earlier this year Picturesque dropped their dark and deeply personal single “Swipe.” It followed last December’s “Pray,” a track that marked a new beginning for the band. Picturesque are embracing a new rule: brutal honesty. No more thinly veiled metaphors, only the truth. "Pray" is their first trip into this territory, with lyrics fueled by lead singer Kyle Hollis' break up. After a 6 year relationship, he ventured out into the world of dating apps in an attempt to beat loneliness. What he found was a culture fueled by hook-ups, ghosting and desperation. It’s a dark and shuddering rock song influenced by artists like blackbear and Post Malone.
