So what's the story behind that dog on Fall Out Boy's ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ album?

Fall Out Boy released their highly anticipated album So Much (For) Stardust on March 24th, 2023. Not only did this album finally give FOB fans what they've been wanting for years, but it may have left some with a question about the album cover: What's the story behind that dog on the cover?

Well, Alex Toor at Bad Habits Collection did his absolute best to answer that very question. They did some digging and discovered that the dog's name is Blitz and he is a Doberman who lives with his owner, Jen Patterson, in Las Vegas. Blitz also has a public Instagram account with over 12,000 followers.

Toor reached out to Jen to learn more about Blitz's story and discovered that a marketing rep from Elektra Records had contacted her through Instagram in September 2022, asking if they could use a picture of Blitz for one of their artists' work. Jen initially thought the message was spam but eventually came to an agreement with Elektra. Interestingly enough, she had no idea that Blitz was even featured on the cover of Fall Out Boy's album until Toor contacted her and told her. Wild!
