The Warped Tour documentary—is it really happening?
Recently, advertisements for an Instagram page called WarpedDocumentary began to pop-up on my news feed. Of course, I immediately followed the page which had nothing more than a profile picture and a few followers. On September 18th, the page posted its first photo showing Dustin Kensrue from Thrice. Since then, dozens of icons who have played at the Warped Tour have had their headshots posted. Icons like Sleeping with Sirens, Set it Off, 30H!3, Atreyu, and Sum 41 are all mentioned on the page.
Today, DJay Brawner and Anthem Films posted their KickStarter for the project. The goal is to raise $150,000 by November 23rd. In just the first few hours, $5,500 has been raised for the project. DJay Brawner has directed music videos for Gym Class Heroes, Panic! At The Disco, Foo Fights, Fever333, and many other artists who are associated with the scene.
