Vans Warped Tour put lineup rumors to rest with epic tweet and Twitter loses its shit
The final Vans Warped Tour is approaching soon, which means fans are going to give their opinions on which bands should be taking place on the center stage. But wait, don't get too excited yet! After fans barraged the Vans Warped Tour Twitter account with recommendations night after night, they finally broke. Check out this funny moment as they shut down rumors in this awesome tweet:
.@blink182 we have the same agent & yet nothing ?♂️@therejects we tried, a band member didn't want to do it@paramore word on the street is they're doing their own tour@Yellowcard is no longer a band@MCRofficial not reuniting ? @SayAnythingMuz we'll look into it! https://t.co/f7zMxDnNkP

Calling out all of the bands may have seemed unprofessional to some, but it was the perfect thing to do to break up all of the rumors that have been floating around. However, not everyone saw it that way.
how? We’ve had to watch for YEARS of fans saying we suck, we can’t book a lineup, we’re idiots. We stayed silent let people trash us but squashing rumors about bands no playing the tour is unprofessional?

you realize we do just that every year and all the fans tell us we suck? Can’t win no matter what we do

we absolutely realize bands do other things; this tweet was never meant to make so many people upset. it was supposed to be funny because the information is factual and addresses the MANY rumors about our lineup

In a since deleted tweet, All-American Rejects singer Tyson Ritter tweeted: "And since we are going “full dick disclosure” - we couldn’t do the whole tour, so we came back and agreed to play a few shows, Warped went full elitist and said “nope”. So your account is actually fucked here. I hope this feedback helps. Classless pricks." But Warped Tour wasn't having it, stating:
pretty sure this isn't how it went down...pretty sure we were down with y'all paying a few shows...pretty sure we were told 3/4 band members were into it by your agent. we were trying to troll and squash rumors with this tweet, didn't mean to start a shit throwing fest

Eventually the thread had to come to a close, so Warped Tour finished with:
