VISTA's new single 'Henchmen' is the rock anthem we need
With 2016 come and gone, the anticipation for what 2017 may hold has been building and so far, it seems, this year may be the year for punk music to rise. Not only in the mainstream, but also from the looks of up and coming artists. Today, January 13th, VISTA has released a new single called “Henchmen”. In partnership with this release,VISTA will be opening for Against the Current at Irving Plaza in New York City.
Hope Vista, vocals for the band, and possibly the driving force of power, created the band after years of experience in the music industry. However the involvement of her co-band members, Greg Almeida and Matthew Vlossak, has created a unique sound that is best described as “anthem rock”.
As a female led band,VISTA is already becoming comparable to bands such as Halestorm with a dash of Paramore style flare. Their new single “Henchmen” proves to be worth the listen as it packs a punch in every beat. Clean cut chords with lyrics that are sure to empower anyone. The upbeat song drives listeners to take a stand and ignore their fears and nerves.
VISTA's music was made with evident focus through a collaborative effort of the three members of the band. Their youth has provided the band with a spunk and energy that is hard to find. The rock roots of the song are evident in the precision and planning.
Living in a world of political uncertainty,“Henchmen” may just be the anthem we need. I certainly hope everyone is ready for this hit that is sure to get your blood pumping and heart racing.
