WAXFLOWER Reveal Music Video for "Sixteen Floors"
Brisbane four-piece Waxflower have today revealed the official music video for latest single, Sixteen Floors. Frontman Tristan Higginson has spoken about the creative process of making the video and said, “When filming the video for Sixteen Floors, we tried to capture the explosive moments of anxiety and sadness associated with heartbreak. We wanted to tap in to what made the writing process so cathartic, representing those themes visually by cutting between two scenes. One based inside a church, the other inside a car, both portraying opposite sides of a breakdown. I believe Sixteen Floors portrays the chaotic inner monologue I felt at the time of writing.” The concept of the video was created and directed by Waxflower guitarist Nick Hargens, and can be seen below.
Led by Tristan Higginson’s raw and emotive vocals, Sixteen Floors is an honest and heartfelt body of work. Collaborating once again with the highly-regarded producer Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly), the result is an anthemic pop/punk track with an authentic emo twist. The band will be donating all streaming revenue from the month of June to Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service and Black Lives Matter. This will be matched by their label, Rude Records.
